Many parents face this problem, yet not always in the same way. Even though your little darlings are still quite small, they begin to differentiate textures and flavors that they may not like. This can be overcome by offering alternatives.
Mix fruit with milk, cereal or cookies to diversify the taste.
Have you tried fruit juice? Natural fruit juices are good and they introduce a new and important tool: the drinking cup. Start with small quantities and dilute with water so as to reduce acidity.
Many babies who don´t like fruity baby-food may like pieces of fruits to suck on or chew. It is an option that can be given to babies from 8 months old although this is not a common practice.
Baby-food in jars is a good option also, a lot better than not eating fruit at all. Many babies eat it more readily than with the food you prepare. In MY MENU we offer mixed fruits and fruits with cereals, containing no added sugars, preservatives or colourants and packaged in jars that cater to this age.
